On the right of the clearing you will notice a deep trench, this was dug out by the lundas many years ago to ambush the invaiding tribe. Today, the mwata will walk through the trench offering his respects by throwing food in varrious areas.
When you travel for 12 km, you will come to a barrier called Kasumpa. The Headman Kasumpa will prevent Mwaya from entering until he recieves a gift from the Mwata. Mpemba will be smeared on the mwatas forehead as a sign of blessings.
The mwata now goes into the hut on the right drinks some locally brewed beer for about 10 min. then proceeds to the second hut on the left. There he sits, drinks beer and watches dancers.
After traveling 6 more kilometers, on the left you will see a clearing with 2 insakas (gazebos). Park your car on the side and proceed to the crowd.
To conclude the visit, the mwata speaks to the people and reminds them of what happened in this place and then does a vitory dance.
